I randomly came across this place on Instagram and I’m really happy I visited! It’s a good vibe, local place with limited outdoor seating. The service was friendly and authentic, very warm and welcoming. We tried a little of everything and every dish was delicious. I recommend the Shack Jerk Chicken Bowl, Loaded Fries and Mac and Cheese. I didn’t try the Cuban sandwich but my boyfriend said it was fantastic. We can’t wait to go back!

First time at carib shack today! Ive been driving by this place almost everyday trying to find time to grab a plate- today i decided to try the jerk chicken and rice. Oh my gosh, best jerk chicken ive had in awhile. Flavorful, tender, spicy, sweet, it checked every box!! Beautiful job you guys! Ill be back and share your food!

Great. Spicy jerk chicken. Hot ham and cheese sandwiches for cheap on good fresh bread(this the cheap ham and cheese sammich rather than the specialty sandwiches). And good plantains, served nice and hot. The jerk chicken was juicy chunks of chicken, not dry at all. On the saucier side, sweet with good spicy kick to it, not too weak on the spicy level which I like.

Ordered the jerk shrimp and loaded fries jerk chicken on top. The food was awesome, fresh, great sauces. Wish there was seating but was a nice day outside. Service took awhile with lots of orders but they were very kind and helpful.

I work at a near by shop and it is so convenient to be able to order online and walk a block over and have the amazing food ready to go. There are so many good options but I highly highly recommend any other the burgers or any of the burritos. The couple that owns it is there working every day and they are so both the nicest people and take such good care of my coworkers and I. I recommend this to everyone.

The food is fresh and delicious, the service is excellent, the owners are very friendly. If you don’t order ahead, you will have to wait a little bit, which is a good thing. This food is so fresh it taste like your grandma just whipped it up, except that is exactly what happened. They make everything mouthwateringly fresh and the food is sublimely delicious. For a whole 15 I have loaded, french fries with jerk beef with a portion size enough to last me three meals. You can go to Wendy’s and spend that much and get nothing. That’s the other thing about this place, the prices are incredibly reasonable. This is a family owned amazing place to go and the girl always has a smile on her face. Definitely don’t miss this place! Your loss if you do!! Yummmmm

I finally got to try out Carib Shack in Virginia Beach, and let me tell you—it did NOT disappoint! This spot has been featured on the Food Network, and even Guy Fieri came through, so I had high expectations. I got to meet one of the owners, Stephanie, and she was SO sweet! I was on a quick 30-minute lunch break and asked her what she recommended. Without hesitation, she suggested the jerk shrimp bowl, and wow—I was definitely impressed. The food was piping hot and absolutely delicious. The rice and peas alone? I could eat that by itself! She told me they cook it with coconut milk, and you can really taste that extra richness. The cabbage was flavorful, and the jerk shrimp? Phenomenal. And let’s talk about that avocado sauce—I discovered it toward the end of my meal, and I wish I had found it sooner! This is mostly a takeout spot, but they do have a couple of tables outside if you want to sit and eat. I also got to snap a picture in front of Guy’s photo, which was a fun touch! I’m already planning my next visit because I need to try their tacos and burgers. If you haven’t been yet, definitely check them out—and if you can, catch their Food Network episode! Highly recommend!

The setup has changed since I last visited. It is no longer a dine in restaurant. It's carryout only. It's not a bad thing. Grab some food and find a place to sit by the water. There is a river, a lake, an inlet an ocean and a bay within five minutes from here. So your food won't even be cold when you get there. Now let me tell you about the food. Everything on the menu is fantastic. My favorite it the Jerk Chicken Burrito. It's huge by the way and loaded with meat cabbage with rice and beans. The jerk chicken is tender and bursting with flavor. The coco milk rice and beans are a good balance of flavor and an excellent add on in the burrito. My other choice is the Cuban Calypso. It's loaded with pork and bacon on a nice sized piece of cocobread and pressed. This thing is so damn good! So if you are by there and lucky enough to catch them open. Stop in and grab some food to go. I promise you will not be disappointed. Hell even Guy loved it!
